BFS names new chief information and technology officer

Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has named Mark Holloway as its new chief information and technology officer.

The move forms part of the company's wider growth strategy of “empowering people, both employees and customers, through technology”.

Holloway brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services and technology.

He was most recently a founder member and chief technology officer at Ashman, a digital start-up that he helped scale from pre-seed stage through multiple funding rounds and the acquisition of a UK banking licence.

Holloway said: "I am delighted to join BFS at such an exciting time in its evolution, and as we look to grow our support for SMEs around the world by empowering our people with best-in-class technology.

“BFS is a values-based organisation with a unique culture, centred on ensuring customers and colleagues thrive. I look forward to meeting many of them over the coming weeks.”

Before his role at Ashman, Holloway held senior technology positions at Maple Securities UK and Intelligent Financial Systems Limited.

He also provided regulatory and strategic advisory services for Strategic Insight’s LiquidMetrix division.

BFS chief operating officer Richard Olver said: “Our strategy is firmly focused on accelerating our growth by empowering our people with technology to deliver value to our customers, colleagues and communities.

“Mark has a strong track record of building, optimising and leading high-performing teams to deliver significant IT and digital change initiatives, so we’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Earlier this month, BFS named Niels Gooch as head of sales for its Bibby Foreign Exchange (BFX) division.

The company seeks to expand its support for UK SMEs engaged in international trade.

Bibby Financial Services is a family-owned international SME financier, supporting over 8,500 businesses worldwide.

Established in 1982, BFS offers trade, asset, working capital finance, and foreign exchange solutions, helping businesses grow in domestic and international markets.

The company, part of the Bibby Line Group, employs more than 1,000 people across Europe and Asia.

"BFS names new chief information and technology officer" was originally created and published by Leasing Life, a GlobalData owned brand.
