BASKETBALL: Reed leaving Sequoyah for historic opportunity at Dale

One of the most successful single-season coaching runs in Sequoyah boys basketball history is coming to an end.

Fletcher Reed, a 29-year-old who guided the Eagles to a 29-3 record and the program’s first-ever state tournament win this past season, is set to become the next coach at Dale High School, pending board approval Monday. Dale is located just west of Shawnee and less than 2 miles from Grand Casino Hotel & Resort along Interstate-40.
