FC Barcelona are about to enter a very busy week as they look to finish the current financial year strong.
It is to be noted that the club offices are buzzing with activity. The financial year for 2024-2025 is coming to a close, and the club must make sure everything is in order before the deadline.
Thanks to higher earnings than expected, with revenue reaching €950 million compared to the forecasted €863 million, Barcelona will show a healthy profit this year.
Nico Williams and other transfers
This strong financial position is important because it allows the club to activate Nico Williams’s release clause, which is set at €62 million.
Barcelona plan to pay this amount within the week so they can secure the winger.
On top of that, the club needs to finalise some player exits. Ansu Fati’s departure to Monaco will become official tomorrow, and his contract is expected to be renewed until 2028 as part of the transfer agreement.

Other players could also leave soon, with Pablo Torre possibly heading to Mallorca. If reports are to be believed, he will sign a four-year deal with the La Liga club.
Excitement for new kit and new number 10
Wednesday will be an exciting day for Barcelona fans, as the club’s new kits for next season will go on sale.
But this launch is even more special because of a big announcement expected around the same time as Lamine Yamal is set to take over the famous number 10 shirt, which will become available after Ansu Fati’s exit.
The club believes that giving the number 10 to Yamal, who is already one of the team’s brightest young stars, will boost shirt sales in a big way.
Barcelona originally planned to reveal Yamal as the new number 10 on his 18th birthday on July 13. However, the club has decided to bring the announcement forward.
The big reveal will now happen on Tuesday, July 2, just one day before the new kits are officially presented to fans.
