Two years ago, Isis Beh was ready to be done with basketball. She planned to go into real estate after finishing the 2023-24 season at Arizona. How quickly things changed.

Former Wildcat head coach Adia Barnes and Beh’s father talked her into returning for one more go-round in Tucson. The 2024-25 season was the best of her long college career. It left her wanting more, and now she has it after signing with Greek club Ao Amyntas for the 2025-26 season.

Ao Amyntas plays in the suburbs of Athens and competes in Greece’s A1 Women’s League, the top-level women’s league in Greece. It consists of 15 teams. Ao Amyntas finished sixth in the regular season last year and was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the playoffs two games to one.

Beh had been undecided about her future. While the NCAA had granted an extra year to former junior college players who exhausted their eligibility last season, Beh was not included due to a technicality. She went into the transfer portal after the coaching change and pursued an appeal with the NCAA, but she also had an eye on a professional career.

Beh put herself in a position to get a spot in a European league by seizing the opportunity she had last year at Arizona. Despite being a reserve at the five throughout her career, she not only won a starting position at the four, but she was Arizona’s most consistent starter in 2024-25. She also served as a team captain.

Despite previous struggles with fouls and a move to a more demanding defensive position, Beh cleaned that up and averaged 28 minutes per game in her final season. That was second on the team behind Jada Williams.

Beh found an outside shot in her final college year, finishing third on the team with a 37.1 percent accuracy from beyond the arc. Once the team reached conference play, she moved into second with a 48.1 percent 3-point shooting percentage. She was fifth on the team with 27 attempts from distance. She tied Skylar Jones for fourth in the most 3-pointers made with 13.

Beh’s efficiency stretched all over the court. She was third on the team with an 82.3 percent free-throw shooting percentage. She was second on the team with a 52.1 percent overall shooting percentage. During conference play, she took over first by hitting 53.3 percent of her shots.

Her 8.4 points per game were fourth on the team. She bumped that up to second on the team with 10.8 ppg in conference play.

Beh was second on the team with 4.4 rebounds per game. She improved her average to 4.6 rpg in Big 12 play, also landing in second behind Breya Cunningham.

Ao Amyntas gets its season started on Oct. 5 with a game against Neas Ionias.
